Israel strikes the southern suburbs of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon!

Lebanon's official news agency, NNA, reported that attacks were carried out on the Hadath, Chiyah, and Burj al-Barajneh regions in the morning, and on the Haret Hreik region in the afternoon.

The intense airstrikes on Hadath targeted the area around St. George Hospital.

It was reported that in the first attack on a 12-story building near the Our Lady of Salvation Church in Chiyah, the rocket failed to detonate, while in the second attack, the building was completely leveled.

In the Burj al-Barajneh region, it was noted that a very intense attack was carried out behind the Ali Nasser High School.

THEY HIT THE CHURCH

Father Jean Baroudi of the Our Lady of Salvation Church, the first church in Beirut to be damaged by Israeli attacks, told an AA reporter, "As a result of Israel's attack targeting a nearby building, the church's three large glass facades were shattered."

Baroudi stated that they had canceled the morning mass following Israel's threats and that no members of the congregation were injured in the attack, adding, "This is the first attack that has occurred just 60 meters away from us."

4 AIRSTRIKES

Following the attacks it carried out in the morning, the Israeli army also targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut in the afternoon.

It was reported that the Israeli army carried out 4 intense airstrikes on the Haret Hreik region in Dahiyeh within half an hour.

While a cloud of dust and smoke covered the skies of Dahiyeh in southern Beirut, numerous buildings were damaged.

No information was shared regarding whether there were any deaths or injuries in the attacks.

ARMY SPOKESPERSON HAD SIGNALED THE ATTACK

Israeli Army Spokesperson Avichay Adraee had issued an attack threat on his X account prior to the strikes by sharing maps marking certain points in the Hadath, Chiyah, Burj al-Barajneh, and Haret Hreik regions.

Adraee claimed that the marked areas on the maps in question were Hezbollah facilities and warned people to move at least 500 meters away from these areas.

In a statement made by the Israeli army yesterday, it was claimed that 50 airstrikes had been carried out on the southern suburbs of Beirut in the last week.
