Israel to send delegation to Doha for Gaza ceasefire talks
Israel has decided to send a delegation to Doha, the capital of Qatar, to reach a ceasefire in Gaza.
It has been reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will send a delegation to conduct indirect negotiations within the framework of the ceasefire and hostage exchange deal proposed by the US. A senior official speaking to the Israeli press stated that the delegation could depart for Doha tonight or tomorrow.
It was announced that the security cabinet in Israel will meet this evening to discuss the ceasefire agreement proposal presented by the US. It was stated that Hamas's positive response to the ceasefire proposal would also be evaluated at the meeting. Hamas announced yesterday evening that it had given a positive response to the proposal regarding a ceasefire and hostage exchange deal with Israel in Gaza and that it was ready for negotiations.
US President Donald Trump had announced that Israel had accepted the necessary conditions for a 60-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. These developments are considered an important step toward ending the long-standing tension in the region.
