Israel violates ceasefire with Lebanon 10 times on its 5th day

According to the official Lebanese news agency NNA, 4 artillery shells fell on the town of Khiam in the south of the country. One shell hit one of the mountain houses between the Marjayoun Plain and the town of Khiam.

A large explosion occurred in the town of Khiam; it is estimated that Israel carried out an attack to blow up some houses and buildings. Israel also fired 3 artillery shots around the town of Khiam and targeted the Ibl al-Saqi, Jallaiyeh, and Marjayoun regions with one shell. Sounds of heavy machine gun fire were heard in the town.

Explosion sounds were heard in the south of Lebanon in the Tyre region, particularly around the towns of Yaroun and Maroun. The Israeli army opened fire from around the town of Maroun al-Ras in the city of Nabatieh towards the city of Bint Jbeil. Smoke was seen rising from some neighborhoods, and some houses were demolished with bulldozers.

The violations, which began from the first day the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon came into effect on November 27, had been repeated 38 times in the first three days. The Israeli army also committed 24 violations yesterday.

The ceasefire agreement reached between Lebanon and Israel came into effect on Wednesday, November 27, at 04:00 local time (05:00 Turkish time).

The second article of the agreement stated, "Israel will not conduct any military offensive by land, sea, or air against civilian, military, or state targets in Lebanon."
