Israeli aggression continues: They demolished a village!
The Israeli army has demolished the village of Khillet Daba, part of Masafer Yatta in the occupied West Bank, where approximately 120 Palestinians lived.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, activist Osama Mehamira stated that the Israeli army raided the village of Khillet Daba and forcibly evacuated it.
Mehamira said that the Israeli army demolished all structures in Khillet Daba, consisting of 25 buildings, including homes, water wells, agricultural structures, and barns.
Reminding that Israeli authorities had issued a demolition order for the village in 2022, Mehamira stated that Israel aims to seize the village's land to expand the illegal settlements of Israelis who usurp Palestinian land, under the pretext that the village is in a 'conflict zone'.
Approximately 250 dunams of the 3,000-dunam area of Khillet Daba, located south of the city of Hebron in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, were used for civilian settlement.
120 people from 14 families resided in Khillet Daba.
The villagers, who generally earned their living from agriculture and livestock, worked in Hebron and Yatta. Some were also engaged in handicrafts such as embroidery and weaving.
In addition to attacks by Israelis usurping Palestinian land, the Israeli army had demolished 7 houses, a water well, and some other structures in the village in February, leaving many Palestinian families homeless.
