Israeli army raids numerous cities in the West Bank: 'The region has turned into a large prison'

Israeli army raids numerous cities in the West Bank: 'The region has turned into a large prison'

The Israeli army has targeted cities belonging to Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. Palestinians were detained during raids conducted following a terror attack in the Jaffa region of the capital, Tel Aviv, yesterday evening.

According to information obtained from local sources, the Israeli army raided numerous regions, including the cities of Nablus, Tulkarm, and Qalqilya in the northern West Bank, al-Bireh in the central part, and Hebron in the south.

AA correspondents spoke to eyewitnesses who stated that Israeli soldiers raided the Askar and Balata refugee camps east of Nablus and detained 3 Palestinians.

The Israeli army had previously attacked demonstrations in the West Bank held in support of Gaza

PALESTINIANS RESPONDED TO ISRAELI SOLDIERS

Armed clashes broke out between Palestinians resisting the raids and the Israeli army.

Eyewitnesses in the city of al-Bireh said that Israeli soldiers raided a building, searched homes, and detained at least 1 person.

Witnesses reported that following the armed attack in Jaffa yesterday evening, Israeli soldiers closed all entrances to the city of Hebron and surrounding towns.

Eyewitnesses stated that the Israeli army is 'imposing a tight siege on Hebron and its surroundings, turning the region into a large prison.'

ISRAEL DECLARED THE CITY WHERE PALESTINIANS LIVE A 'MILITARY ZONE'

The Israeli army had announced that it closed the city of Hebron and designated it a 'military zone' following the armed attack in Jaffa yesterday that left 7 people dead.

Since October 7, 2023, when Israel began its attacks on Gaza, there has been an increase in detentions, raids, and attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
