Israeli army spokesperson announces: Gaza and its surroundings are under control, the first phase of the operation has begun

ISRAEL HAD DECIDED TO OCCUPY GAZA CITY

The Israeli Security Cabinet had approved a plan on August 8 to occupy Gaza City, located in the north of the region.

In an interview with Fox News before the cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Netanyahu had said that they aimed to occupy the entire Gaza Strip.

However, reports in the press regarding the occupation plan before the cabinet meeting had indicated that the attacks would be carried out in phases.

It was stated that the occupation would first begin in Gaza City, and that the attacks would later extend to the camps in the central part where Palestinian refugees reside.

5 CONDITIONS WERE PRESENTED FOR THE END OF THE OCCUPATION

From the Israeli side, 5 conditions were put forward for ending the occupation in Gaza.

These conditions were listed as follows:

The disarmament of Hamas,

The return of 50 hostages, 20 of whom are believed to be alive,

The complete demilitarization of the Gaza Strip,

Israel's control over the entire Gaza Strip,

The establishment of an alternative and civilian administration to Hamas and the Palestinian Authority.
