Israeli Chief of General Staff Zamir: We are moving to the next phase

Israeli Chief of General Staff Eyal Zamir made a press statement regarding the ongoing attacks on Iran, conducted in coordination with the US. Zamir said, "Within 24 hours, our pilots opened the path to Tehran. We have destroyed approximately 80 percent of the air defense systems and achieved almost complete air superiority in Iranian airspace."

Regarding the attacks carried out since the start of military operations and the munitions used, Zamir stated, "Israeli Air Force pilots conducted 2,500 strikes and used more than 6,000 munitions."

The Israeli Chief of General Staff said, "Thanks to this and the support of high-quality intelligence, we are targeting ballistic missiles that pose a direct threat to Israel. We have neutralized and destroyed more than 60 percent of the ballistic missile launchers. Every missile is lethal, and I want to emphasize that the threat has not yet been eliminated."

"We will intensify attacks on the regime's foundations and military capabilities"

Zamir also said that Israel is moving to the next phase in its attacks on Iran. The Chief of General Staff stated, "After completing the initial surprise strike phase, in which we achieved air superiority and suppressed ballistic missile systems, we are now moving to the next phase. In this phase, we will intensify attacks on the regime's foundations and military capabilities. We have some surprise moves in store that I do not intend to disclose yet."

"We are in constant contact with our US counterparts"

Stating that he is in constant contact with his US counterparts, including US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine and US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Admiral Brad Cooper, Zamir said, "We are fighting in line with common interests and values. By acting simultaneously, we are depriving the regime of its military capabilities and driving it into strategic isolation and a point of weakness it has never experienced before. This is a historic cooperation."
