Conducting a situation assessment at the Northern Command in Israel, Halevi stated that they are at the "highest level of readiness" in both offense and defense in preparation for potential retaliatory actions.
Stating that challenging days await Israel, Halevi said, "We are determined to continue fighting and to dismantle the Hezbollah terrorist organization. We have more tasks ahead on all fronts, including destroying terrorist organizations and their capabilities, and bringing our hostages back home."
