Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant met with mayors from Israel's northern border and made statements.
Signaling a ground operation into Lebanon, Gallant said, "The next phase in the war against Hezbollah will begin soon."
Gallant added, "This will be a significant factor in changing the security situation and will allow us to complete the important task of returning the region's residents to their homes.
We will do this. Just as I said a month ago that we would shift the focus here to the north, I am saying it now: We will change the situation and return the residents to their homes," he said.
