Eyes have turned to the region following Israel's approval of its war plan for the Lebanese border.
In a statement following the decision, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said, "There is a new phase in this war, it holds significant opportunities but also carries heavy risks. Hezbollah feels pursued, and our military operations will continue."
Stating that their goal is to return those living in the north of the country to their homes safely, Gallant added, "As time goes on, Hezbollah will pay a higher price. At the same time, we will continue our efforts to bring back the hostages and dismantle Hamas."
