Open threat to the Iranian people from Israeli Defense Minister Katz: 'They will pay the price, and soon'

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, in a statement regarding Iran's attacks on Israel, directly threatened civilians living in Tehran.

Sharing a written message on his social media account, Katz claimed that the Iranian administration targets civilians in its attacks and stated, "The residents of Tehran will pay the price for this, and soon."

In his message, Katz also targeted Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, arguing that the political leadership in Tehran is directly responsible for the attacks.

COMMANDERS AND SCIENTISTS KILLED

Israel carried out a large-scale air strike against Iran on June 13. The operation targeted nuclear facilities and the top command echelon of the Iranian military.

According to Iranian sources, the Chief of the General Staff of Iran, the Commander of the Revolutionary Guards, and many high-ranking military officials lost their lives in the attacks. Additionally, a large number of scientists, including 9 prominent nuclear physicists, lost their lives.

Iran announced that a total of 224 civilians lost their lives and hundreds were injured. Tensions in the region rose rapidly following the attack.

RESPONSE WITH BALLISTIC MISSILES

The response to Israel's attacks did not take long. Iran retaliated against Israel with ballistic missiles.

Iranian sources reported that 21 Israelis lost their lives and more than 400 people were injured in the attack. The Israeli administration, meanwhile, claimed that Iran "deliberately targeted civilians" and began seeking support from the international community.
