Following the ceasefire reached between Iran and Israel, a statement also came from Israeli Defense Minister İsrael Katz.
In a post on the social media platform X, Katz announced that he held a phone call with his US counterpart Pete Hegseth, stating, "I thanked US President Donald Trump for his courageous decision to act together with Israel against the Iranian nuclear threat."
Noting that Hegseth spoke highly of the historic successes achieved by Israel and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Katz stated, "I emphasized that as long as Iran adheres to the ceasefire, Israel will also adhere to the ceasefire."
Katz added, "We agreed to deepen the close security cooperation between the US and Israel."
