Israeli Defense Minister Katz: Syrian Navy fleet destroyed with great success
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that the Israeli Navy destroyed the Syrian Navy fleet last night with great success and stated that he has instructed the army to establish a “defense zone” in southern Syria.
As Israel's attacks on Syria continue, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz made statements during his visit to the naval base in the Israeli city of Haifa.
Katz announced that the Israeli Navy destroyed the Syrian Navy fleet last night with great success as part of a large-scale operation aimed at eliminating strategic threats in Syria.
Stating that Israeli forces have positioned themselves in the buffer zone between Syria and the Golan Heights, Katz said he has instructed the army to establish a “defense zone” in southern Syria without a permanent Israeli presence, in order to prevent any threats against Israel.
Warning the leaders of the opposition groups that overthrew the Assad regime in Syria, Katz said, “Those who follow Assad's path will meet the same end as Assad.”
