Israeli far-right Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and fanatic Jewish settlers have raided the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and a large number of fanatic Jewish settlers raided the Al-Aqsa Mosque, located in occupied East Jerusalem.
In a written statement regarding the matter, the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf Council noted that far-right National Security Minister Ben-Gvircarried out the raid under heavy police protection.
According to a report by the Palestinian news agency WAFA, a large number of fanatic Jewish settlers raidedthe Al-Aqsa Mosque. Prior to the raid, It was noted that the Israeli police at the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque have increased their heavy deployment in the area. It was stated that, as part of the security measures, the entry of Muslims wishing to pray at the mosque has been restricted.
The Israeli administration maintains that it protects the historical status quo at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, under which "only Muslims can worship, while members of other religions can only visit."
The raid has drawn widespread condemnation from regional authorities and international observers.
