Israeli official: Iran's uranium must be removed from the country
An Israel Defense Forces (IDF) official argued that Iran's enriched uranium resources must be removed from the country, stating, "If we do not achieve our goals regarding the nuclear issue, everything we have done in Iran will be considered a major failure. The malicious Iranian regime could refocus on its nuclear program."
As the delicate ceasefire between the US and Iran continues, an Israeli official has made a statement regarding Iran's enriched uranium stockpiles. The unnamed senior official serving in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told local media that if Iran's approximately 400 kilograms of enriched uranium resources are not removed from the country, the ongoing conflict could be considered a "major failure."
The official stated that if an agreement is not reached during the negotiation process between the US and Iran to remove the uranium stockpiles from the country and end the Tehran administration's enrichment activities, the efforts made during the 40-day conflict would have been "wasted."
The Israeli official said, "If we do not achieve our goals regarding the nuclear issue, everything we have done in Iran will be considered a major failure. The malicious Iranian regime could refocus on its nuclear program."
Arguing that they would have "fulfilled their duty" if the uranium in Iran is removed from the country's borders through diplomatic channels, the official stated that if this does not happen, they may need to carry out new attacks on Iran.
Meanwhile, Israeli Chief of General Staff Eyal Zamir, during a visit to Lebanon where the Israeli army is operating, had said, "Every goal defined for us by the political authorities regarding the current military activities in Iran and Lebanon has been achieved, and we have even gone beyond that."
