Following the attacks launched by Israel on the Rafah Border Crossing yesterday evening, the White House issued a statement saying, "We do not support Israel launching a ground offensive in Rafah."
White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby expressed concerns that the attacks could lead to civilian casualties in the region.
Regarding the matter, an Israeli official made statements to the Jerusalem Post. The official stated that the Tel Aviv administration is determined to win the war, but that the US opposes this.
In their statement, the official said, "The Americans want the war to end, and we want to win the war. I hope these two things can come together," the Israeli official added.
