Israeli President Herzog blames Hezbollah for conflicts in Lebanon

Israeli President Isaac Herzog visited the Western Galilee and Haifa regions of his country. Making statements regarding the current agenda at a hospital in Haifa, Herzog argued that Hezbollah is responsible for the conflicts in Lebanon and claimed, "The world must understand that we have made repeated offers to reach a friendly solution on the Lebanese border. Unfortunately, Hezbollah has rejected them repeatedly."

Claiming that Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Naim Qassem "repeatedly threatened to link the situation in Lebanon with other borders" in his latest speech, Herzog said, "I want to tell the people of Lebanon: You are paying the price for a brutal terror regime led by Hezbollah. Instead of a good and respectable life in Lebanon, which was once the pride of the Middle East, you are now paying a price, and this price is becoming increasingly heavy."

HEZBOLLAH'S NUMBER TWO HAD CALLED ON ISRAEL

In his latest speech, Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Naim Qassem stated that attacks against Israel were legitimate, saying, "I tell the Israelis: The solution is to stop the attacks. The solution is a ceasefire. After a ceasefire, Israeli settlers can return to the north."

Emphasizing that if Israel continues its attacks in Lebanon and Gaza, more than 2 million Israelis in the north will be under constant threat, Qassem said, "The resistance will not be defeated because they are the owners of this land. They will fight and die with honor. Victory will come with patience."
