Israeli press reports 'point to Netanyahu's failure'

While Israel continues its intense attacks on the Gaza Strip and the use of starvation as a weapon in the region, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made a new statement regarding Israel's attack on Doha, the capital of Qatar.

In a statement on his social media account, Netanyahu said, "Hamas leaders living in Qatar do not care about the situation of the people in the Gaza Strip. They have blocked all ceasefire attempts to prolong the war indefinitely.

Getting rid of them removes the obstacles to the release of our hostages and the end of the war," he stated. The Israeli press, however, described Netanyahu's statement as a sign that the attack on Hamas leaders was unsuccessful.

WHAT HAPPENED IN DOHA?

Israel carried out an airstrike on Doha, the capital of Qatar, last Tuesday, targeting a meeting of a Hamas delegation. In a statement issued by Hamas, it was reported that 5 Hamas members, including the son of Gaza leader Khalil al-Hayya, and 1 member of the Qatari security forces lost their lives in the attack, but it was stated that the assassination attempt against the Hamas delegation was "unsuccessful."

The statement added, "This incident once again reveals that the occupation wants to undermine the chance of reaching an agreement."

The attack drew successive reactions from the international community, with many countries, including the UK, France, Germany, and Canada, condemning Israel's attack. In a joint statement released by the United Nations (UN) Security Council, the attack in Doha was condemned without naming Israel.
