Israeli state television KAN announced that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, who had held talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Saudi Arabia.
It was reported that the meeting took place at the Prime Minister's Office in West Jerusalem.
The report did not provide details regarding the content of the meeting.
White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby announced on May 17 that Sullivan would discuss the latest situation in Gaza and the ceasefire process with his counterparts.
As part of his regional visit, Sullivan first traveled to Saudi Arabia to discuss "the necessity of a ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region within the scope of the latest developments in Gaza," before heading to Israel to meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu.
