Israeli soldiers carry out 'heist' in Gaza

In a statement from the government media office in Gaza, it was noted that, according to the testimonies of Gaza residents, the Israeli army has stolen money, gold, and valuables worth approximately 90 million shekels ($24.5 million) from Gaza during the 92-day genocide war.

BAGS CONTAINING VALUABLES WERE SEIZED

The statement indicated that the thefts occurred in various ways, noting that at a checkpoint established by Israeli soldiers on Salah al-Din Road, they seized bags containing money, gold, and other valuables from Palestinians migrating from the north to the south.

The statement further noted that Israeli forces, which forced the people of Gaza to leave their homes, entered the vacated houses to commit robberies, and that the soldiers took souvenir photos and videos of these crimes and published them on their social media accounts.

5 MILLION SHEKELS TRANSFERRED TO THE MINISTRY OF DEFENSE

The statement said, "The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth previously addressed this crime, noting that the property of Gazans has been systematically stolen since the start of the ground operation in Gaza. Furthermore, the newspaper wrote that the Israeli army seized 5 million shekels in the war and that the money was transferred to the financial department of the Ministry of Defense."

Pointing out that the Israeli news site "Ynet" also confirmed that 5 million dollars were seized from the Gaza Strip, the statement noted that the report stated that the Looting Unit of the army's Technology and Logistics Division confiscated the seized funds.
