Israel's new defense minister makes confusing statement on Iran and nuclear program: 'More vulnerable than ever'

Stating that Iran is "more vulnerable than ever" to a potential attack on its nuclear facilities, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said, "There is an opportunity to achieve one of the most important goals, which is to eliminate the threat of destruction to Israel."

Regarding his country's attacks on Lebanon, Katz stated, "There will be no ceasefire and no respite for Hezbollah until the goals of the war are achieved."

According to reports in the Israeli press, Katz, who said that Iran has weakened following the attacks on its air defense facilities, used the expression, "Iran is more vulnerable today than ever to a potential attack on its nuclear facilities."

Stating that Israel has the power to target Iran's nuclear facilities, Katz said, "There is an opportunity to achieve one of the most important goals, which is to eliminate the threat of destruction to Israel."

"WE WILL GIVE HEZBOLLAH NO RESPITE"

Touching upon his country's attacks on Lebanon, Katz stated, "There will be no ceasefire and no respite for Hezbollah until the goals of the war are achieved." Arguing that their most important goal in Gaza is the "return of the hostages," Katz said, "We will do everything to bring them home and ensure the defeat of Hamas."
