Israel responds to Turkey's 'export' decision with 'US' threat: 'We will take measures that will cause harm'

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz issued harsh messages to Turkey following its decision to impose sanctions on Israel.

Katz argued that "Erdoğan has once again sacrificed the economic interests of the Turkish people for his support of the Hamas murderers in Gaza."

"I HAVE TOLD OUR FRIENDS IN THE US CONGRESS..."

Katz wrote the following on his X platform account:

"Erdoğan is once again sacrificing the economic interests of the people of Turkey for his support of the Hamas murderers in Gaza who raped, murdered, and desecrated the bodies of women, girls, adults, and burned children alive. Israel will not submit to violence and extortion, will not turn a blind eye to the unilateral violation of trade agreements, and will take parallel measures against Turkey that will harm the Turkish economy.

I have ordered the preparation of an additional list of products that Israel will prevent Turkey from exporting, as well as the initiation of contact with countries and organizations in the US to stop investments in Turkey and prevent the import of products from Turkey. I have told our friends in the US Congress to examine violations of boycott laws and to impose sanctions on Turkey accordingly."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Amid ongoing criticism regarding trade with Israel, the Ministry of Trade announced that export restrictions had been imposed on trade with Israel across 54 product groups, ranging from construction steel and flat steel to marble and ceramics.
