Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is coming to Turkey tomorrow.
AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan will receive Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni at the Vahdettin Pavilion tomorrow evening.
SHE ONCE VIEWED ERDOĞAN AMONG HER ENEMIES WHILE IN OPPOSITION
In their reports on the visit, the Italian press wrote that while Meloni viewed Erdoğan among her 'enemies' when she was in the opposition, she understood the importance of having a strong partnership with Ankara after taking the prime ministerial seat.
On the other hand, when President Erdoğan paid an official visit to Italy in 2018, Meloni, who was in the opposition at the time, reacted to the visit with the following words: "President Erdoğan is in Italy. Since the left-wing government will not do it, let us convey the message of the Italian people to him: 'NO to Turkey in Europe. No to the Islamization of Europe.'"
