Jordan calls on its citizens in Lebanon to leave the country
Jordan has called on its citizens to leave Lebanon and to avoid traveling to the country.
A written statement was issued by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the matter.
The statement reiterated the call for Jordanian citizens not to travel to Lebanon due to Israel's attacks on the country.
In the statement, Jordanian citizens currently in Lebanon were also urged to "leave the country as soon as possible."
The statement noted that these calls were made to ensure the safety of Jordanian citizens in the country due to Israel's attacks on Lebanese territory, which threaten the security of the entire region, and requested that citizens contact the Jordanian Embassy in the country.
ISRAEL'S AIRSTRIKE ON BEIRUT
In an airstrike carried out by the Israeli army on the southern suburbs of Beirut on September 20, 37 people lost their lives, including 3 children and 7 women.
Hezbollah announced that 15 of its members, including senior military commander Ibrahim Akil, were killed in the attack.
A total of 76 people lost their lives in the explosions of pagers and walkie-talkies in Lebanon on September 17-18, followed by the subsequent attack on Beirut.
Clashes that have occasionally intensified between the parties have been occurring on the Israel-Lebanon border since October 8, 2023.
