Saied has been re-elected president in Tunisia after receiving 90.69 percent of the vote.

The results of the presidential election held in Tunisia on October 6 have been announced. The Independent High Authority for Elections reported that President Kais Saied was re-elected after securing 90.69 percent of the vote.

The Election Authority stated that Saied's rivals, Ayachi Zammel and Zouhair Maghzaoui, received 7.3 percent and 1.9 percent of the vote, respectively, and noted that the voter turnout was 28.8 percent.

Tunisia saw its lowest voter turnout since the 2011 revolution.
