U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is set to make a statement in which she will acknowledge her loss in the presidential election race against Donald Trump.
According to a report by the American news channel CNN, citing sources close to Harris, she will appear before the cameras today at 4:00 PM local time (midnight Turkish time).
Harris, who lost the presidential election to her Republican rival Donald Trump according to unofficial results in the U.S., is expected to express that she "concedes the defeat" in her speech.
On the other hand, Harris called her rival Donald Trump by phone to convey her congratulations regarding the election result.
