Key figure in Epstein files found dead at home

It has been reported that Daniel Siad, whose name appears in files linked to U.S. billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead in his home in France. According to reports in the French press, the 69-year-old Swedish citizen Siad was found dead on July 20 in Colombes, located in the Hauts-de-Seine department near Paris.

No official statement has yet been made regarding the cause of Siad's death. It was stated that an investigation into the incident has been launched.

Siad, known as a "model scout," was under investigation for crimes linked to Epstein as well as allegations of sexual violence. It was reported that Siad's name appeared 2,090 times in the Epstein files released by the U.S. Department of Justice.

ALLEGATIONS IN THE EPSTEIN FILES

The files reportedly contained correspondence indicating that Epstein used Siad as an intermediary to reach young women. In the correspondence in question, it was alleged that Siad spoke to Epstein about underage girls who were ready to model.

Siad was known to have worked with French modeling agency manager Jean-Luc Brunel. Brunel had also been in the spotlight over accusations of sexual assault against children and models, and was found dead in 2022 in the prison where he was being held in France.

Epstein was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, New York, on August 10, 2019, during the trial process in which he was accused of sexually abusing numerous girls under the age of 18 and establishing a sex trafficking network.

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Department of Justice previously announced that their investigation concluded Epstein's death was a suicide, and stated that no evidence had been found regarding the existence of a "client list" consisting of famous names.
