Saeed Solh Mirzayi, a member of Iran's Assembly of Experts, claimed that Ali Khamenei's will was destroyed in a fire that broke out following the Israeli attack on February 28.
Mirzayi stated that the fire in Khamenei's office could not be brought under control for a long time and that the will was kept in that building. According to Mirzayi, teams intervened in the fire for hours, but the document could not be recovered afterward.
Stating that there were only a limited number of copies of the document, Mirzayi noted that the will was kept in a secure location for security reasons. Mirzayi also said that the computer containing the copy of the document was also destroyed in the fire.
"The Agha's office was burning from the morning call to prayer until the evening call to prayer. Our friends worked for eight to nine hours, and we were only able to extinguish the fire then. The will was also there. So far, they have not been able to reach the will."
Mirzayi stated that Khamenei was in the process of correcting and reviewing the will, adding, "Unfortunately, as of now, the will is destroyed."
