King Charles hospitalized
King Charles has been hospitalized due to temporary side effects resulting from his ongoing cancer treatment.
On the advice of his doctors, Charles canceled his planned visit to Birmingham on Friday.
It was stated that King Charles, who stayed in the hospital for a short time, has returned to Clarence House.
The palace's statement noted, "He was scheduled to hold four official meetings in Birmingham and is deeply disappointed to have missed them."
A source from Buckingham Palace stated that Charles's treatment is progressing on the right track, describing the side effects that led to his hospitalization today as a "minor setback." The source did not provide further information regarding the nature of the side effects.
TYPE OF CANCER NOT DISCLOSED
It was first announced in February 2024 that the King had cancer. Following his treatment and recovery process, Charles returned to public duties in April of last year. The specific type and stage of the King's cancer have never been disclosed.
