Kremlin continues its support for Assad: Possibility of a new trilateral meeting on the agenda
The Kremlin has confirmed that its support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad continues. Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry has announced that a new trilateral meeting with Turkey and Iran could be held.
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia continues to support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Speaking about the latest situation in Syria during a press conference, Peskov said, "Of course, we continue to support Bashar al-Assad, and we are maintaining our contacts as necessary and analyzing the situation."

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said that Moscow is maintaining its contacts with Ankara and Tehran regarding the situation in Syria and that they do not rule out a new trilateral meeting.
When asked by journalists about the possibility of a new trilateral meeting between Russia, Turkey, and Iran—the guarantors of the Astana format—in light of the recent developments in Syria, Rudenko replied, "We are currently in close, regular, real-time contact with all key actors, including representatives from Turkey and Iran. I cannot rule anything out. It does not necessarily have to be in Russia. Such a meeting cannot be ruled out."
