Kremlin Palace Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov made statements regarding the phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump.
Peskov reported that, with the approval of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Putin conveyed the Iranian side's views on finding a solution to the conflict to Trump.
The Kremlin spokesperson stated that the majority of the conversation was devoted to resolving the issue in Ukraine at the request of the US side. Peskov expressed that Putin approached some of the proposals presented by the US to de-escalate tensions with "understanding."
Putin had met with Iranian President Pezeshkian on the sidelines of a summit held in Turkmenistan this week. It was reported that during the meeting, the Russian leader expressed their readiness to assist in peace negotiations.
