Lavrov's warning on Palestine: The US is fueling the conflict
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated, "The Americans continue to publicly express their determination to find a just solution to the Palestinian issue. However, in practice, they are generously fueling the fire of armed conflict."

Speaking to Sputnik, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, "The Americans continue to publicly express their determination to find a just solution to the Palestinian issue. However, in practice, they are generously fueling the fire of armed conflict."
Noting that the White House gave the "green light for the destruction" of the Gaza Strip by blocking ceasefire resolutions at the UN Security Council for nearly 6 months, Lavrov continued his remarks as follows:
When the Americans were forced to abstain during the vote in March of this year, the Council was able to adopt the resolution demanding an end to armed hostilities. Yet, the US representative, without any sense of shame, said that this UN Security Council document was not binding.
"US SANCTIONS ON ISRAEL ARE FOR SHOW"
Reminding that the US announcement to suspend shipments to Israel only covered one type of ammunition, the Russian minister stated that this only involved aircraft bombs included in "one of the short-term aid batches" and made the following assessment on the matter:
A few days later, the US House of Representatives approved a bill lifting the pause on arms shipments to Israel. If this document, prepared by the Republicans, is also accepted in the Senate, it will not allow the White House to refuse Tel Aviv's request for military aid.
'WE WANTED TO BELIEVE THEM'
Stating that the experience gained in relations with the Americans clearly shows that Washington's statements should not be trusted, Lavrov said, "For a long time, we wanted to believe them, we held negotiations with them, we made agreements. However, it later turned out that Washington had no intention of fulfilling any of its 'promises' that were also on paper and in UN Security Council resolutions."
