Lebanese Ministry of Health: Death toll from Israeli attacks rises to 4,333

The Lebanese Ministry of Health has released the latest data regarding the number of people who have lost their lives in Israel's attacks on the country since March 2. According to the ministry's report, the death toll from the attacks has risen to 4,333.

The number of those injured during the same period was recorded as 12,236. In its previous statement, the ministry had announced that 4,332 people had lost their lives in the attacks carried out since March 2.

"1 MILLION LEBANESE DISPLACED"

The Israeli army launched intense airstrikes on Lebanon on March 2 and occupied many towns in the south of the country. The Lebanese government had announced that the number of people displaced in the country due to the attacks had exceeded 1 million.

Diplomatic contacts were also conducted during this process. US President Donald Trump announced in a statement on April 24 that the 10-day temporary ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which went into effect on April 17, had been extended for another 3 weeks.

Following the talks held under US mediation, it was decided to extend the ceasefire for 45 days as of May 17, and a "framework agreement" was signed between Lebanon and Israel on June 26 after the 5th round of direct negotiations held in Washington.
