According to reports in the British media, TfL has identified the driver of the subway train that was carrying protesters heading to the Palestine solidarity demonstration held in the capital, London, on October 21.

Noting that the driver was operating a train on the Central line of the subway system, Glynn Barton, TfL's Chief Operating Officer, stated that the driver in question misused the public address system.

SUSPENDED FROM DUTY

Speaking about the investigation launched into the driver who led passengers in a "Free Palestine" chant, Barton said, "The driver has been suspended while we continue to fully investigate the incident in line with our policies and procedures."

Following the sharing of footage on social media of the driver leading passengers heading to the pro-Palestine rally on October 21 in a chant, the British Transport Police and TfL had announced that they had launched an investigation.

The footage also captured the driver saying, "I hope you all have a wonderful day. Take care of yourselves. Keep all these people in your prayers," after leading the chant.
