Maduro's Twitter (X) directive: For 10 days...

Addressing his supporters at the Miraflores Presidential Palace in the capital, Caracas, Maduro argued that X is spreading hatred and violence in Venezuela.

Maduro announced that he had spoken with the National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) and had given the necessary instructions for X to be removed from circulation for a period of 10 days.

Reacting to the US billionaire Musk, Maduro stated, "X, owned by Elon Musk, has broken all the laws. Stop spreading fascism, civil war, death, and hatred in this country. X has violated all of Venezuela's laws. There are laws in Venezuela, and we will respect the laws. Get out of Venezuela for 10 days, X. Get out, Elon Musk. There is a constitution in Venezuela, there is a state, and you must respect them."

Asking for his supporters' backing regarding the decision he made, Maduro remarked, "I have full faith that one day, new social media platforms will emerge in Venezuela, other than WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok."

HE HAD DELETED WHATSAPP

Nicolas Maduro had previously cited the reason that certain segments in the country were using WhatsApp to spread violence and hatred, and he had deleted the application during a live broadcast.

HE DECLARED MUSK AN ENEMY

Venezuelan President Maduro had won the presidential election held in his country on July 28 for the third time.

US billionaire Elon Musk had claimed that "the election was rigged."

Reacting to Musk's accusations, Maduro had said, "Do you want a fight, Elon Musk? I am ready, I am the son of Bolivar, I am the son of Chavez, I am not afraid of you."

Maduro had accused Musk, whom he declared as Venezuela's arch-enemy, of inciting violent incidents in the country.

In his response to Maduro, Musk had stated that if he won the duel, he would ask Maduro to resign from his dictatorship and would send him to Mars for free via his company, SpaceX.

On the other hand, in a speech he made from the balcony of the Miraflores Palace after winning the election, Maduro had argued that he was certain that the person behind the hacker attack on the National Electoral Council was Musk.
