Maradona's daughter speaks out in trial regarding her father's death: 'They deceived us in the most brutal way'
Dalma Maradona, daughter of Diego Armando Maradona, who passed away in 2020, has testified in the trial concerning his death. Arguing that the medical team failed to provide adequate care for her father, Dalma Maradona stated, "They promised us home hospitalization, which never happened. They made us believe in something that never occurred. To support this, they deceived us in the most brutal way."
Dalma Maradona, daughter of the legendary Argentine footballer Diego Armando Maradona, accused the doctors who treated her father of deceiving her and her siblings during the hearing of the trial regarding allegations of negligence in his death.
Dalma, the eldest of the Argentine legend's five children, testified in the trial where doctors and nurses are being prosecuted for negligence and failing to provide adequate care in her father's death.
Arguing that they were deceived by the doctors who treated their father, Dalma said, "They promised us home hospitalization, which never happened. They made us believe in something that never occurred. To support this, they deceived us in the most brutal way."
Dalma claimed that the room in her father's house was not suitable for treatment, describing it as "disgusting" and saying it "smelled of urine," adding, "There was a portable toilet. There was a panel on the windows to keep the light out. There was nothing. It was a terrible place. The kitchen was disgusting."
Noting that the doctors suggested home treatment because Maradona did not want to stay in the hospital, Dalma stated that they had 'promised 24-hour nursing care to monitor his blood pressure and administer medication,' but that her father did not receive the necessary treatment.
