Critical NATO statement from Medvedev: 'It has never been this real'

Russia has drawn attention to the possibility of a direct conflict with NATO that could escalate into World War III.

Russian official Medvedev stated, "Since the Cuban Missile Crisis, the threat of a direct conflict between Russia and NATO that could turn into World War III has never been this real."

"SINCE THE CUBAN MISSILE CRISIS..."

According to the report in BirGün, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev stated that there is a threat of a direct conflict between his country and NATO that could escalate into World War III.

In a statement on his Telegram channel, Medvedev evaluated the rejection in the Senate of US President Joe Biden's 105 billion dollar budget request, which also includes aid to Ukraine.

Arguing that the Biden administration is "blackmailing" Congress and that this is nothing new in US history, Medvedev noted the following:

"Never before has so much money been requested for a small state that is in the process of disintegration. Never before has money been requested so aggressively and brazenly for a country that corrupts the US President and his family members. Since the Cuban Missile Crisis, the threat of a direct conflict between Russia and NATO that could turn into World War III has never been this real."

Claiming that the US administration is "making money" from the war in Ukraine, Medvedev shared his view that there is a possibility that Biden could lose the Presidential election to be held in 2024.

"AID CRISIS" IN CONGRESS

While fierce debates continue in the US Congress regarding aid to Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy canceled his briefing to Senate members on December 5 at the last minute and did not provide a clear explanation for the reason behind the decision.

US President Biden had requested a 105 billion dollar budget, which included 14 billion dollars in aid to Israel and 61 billion dollars to Ukraine, but the request was rejected in the Senate.

The White House and some Ukrainian officials warn that the war with Russia could be lost without US aid to Ukraine.
