Medvedev targets UK: Threatens to sink the island
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, has threatened to sink the UK in a social media post.
Dmitry Medvedev targeted the UK in a message he published. Reacting to the 1.5 billion dollar aid package announced by the UK and the US for Ukraine, Medvedev issued a war threat against the United Kingdom.
In a statement made on the social media platform X, Medvedev said:
'The island called Britain is likely to sink in the next few years. Our hypersonic missiles will help if necessary.'
UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy had promised '100 years of support' to Ukraine at the meeting where the aid package was announced. Medvedev also targeted this statement.
In the message he published on the X platform, Medvedev wrote, 'UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy promised 100 years of support to Ukraine. First, he is lying. Second, the so-called Ukraine will not even last a quarter of that time.'
