'Mega storm' hits the US: 3 people dead

HURRICANE AND FLOOD ALARM

According to the meteorological observation organization AccuWeather, there is a risk of deadly tornadoes in Arkansas and Missouri. Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi are also among the regions at risk. Meteorological experts stated that more than 24 tornadoes could occur between Friday night and Saturday morning. It was noted that there is a fire danger in Texas and New Mexico due to dry brush and low humidity. While wind speeds are expected to reach 130 km/h, a warning was issued that the fire risk could extend as far as Mexico.

The NWS announced that the storm will move eastward on Saturday and cause severe thunderstorms in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida. While wind speeds are expected to exceed 105 km/h, major cities such as St. Louis, Chicago, Nashville, New Orleans, and Atlanta were also listed among the regions that could be affected.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) warned that a meteorological event known as a 'polar vortex collapse' could be effective starting from mid-March. A polar vortex collapse can cause cold Arctic air to spread southward, leading to extreme weather conditions in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
