Memorial ceremony held in Iran for students killed in US attack

A memorial ceremony was held in the Iranian capital, Tehran, for students who lost their lives in US and Israeli attacks at the Shajarat al-Tayyibah Girls' Primary School in the city of Minab, Hormozgan province.

During the ceremony, local laments and lullabies were recited for the students who lost their lives, and participants experienced emotional moments. Symbolic areas resembling classrooms were created in the ceremony venue for the students who died in the attacks.

Photographs of the children who lost their lives were displayed in these areas, drawing attention to the children's unfinished education.

The ceremony was attended by Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Abbas Salehi, and Iran's Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Reza Salehi Amiri. Following the ceremony, the participants gathered in the area where the symbolic classrooms created in memory of the children who lost their lives were located.

School attack in Minab

In the attacks launched by the US and Israel against Iran on February 28, a missile strike was carried out on the Shajarat al-Tayyibah Primary School in the city of Minab, Hormozgan province, during school hours, resulting in the deaths of more than 165 students.

Meanwhile, a statement from the Iranian Ministry of Education reported that 245 students lost their lives and 178 students were injured in the attacks across the country. The statement also indicated that 58 teachers lost their lives and 24 teachers were injured.
