In a statement released by Hezbollah, it was announced that the Hezbollah Shura Council has elected Naim Qassem as the new Secretary-General. Naim Qassem previously served as the Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah. Following the announcement, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant shared a photo of Qassem and said, "A temporary appointment. It won't last long" he said.
