Metal danger in cheese: Being recalled from shelves
North Sea Cheese produced in Germany is being recalled from the market due to the potential presence of metal particles. Consumers are advised not to use the product and to return it.
Organic product supplier dennree in Germany has decided to recall certain batches of "North Sea Cheese" produced by Thise Mejeri. According to the company's statement, there is a risk of metallic foreign objects in approximately 170-gram cheese packages with expiration dates between May 26, 2025, and June 1, 2025.
This recall decision was made because the metal particles detected in the products pose a threat to consumer health. It was noted that in addition to metal objects, fragments of broken glass, wood, or plastic could also cause cuts in the mouth and throat, internal organ injuries, or bleeding.
IMPORTANT WARNING FOR CONSUMERS
Dennree and Thise Mejeri officials emphasized that cheese produced between these dates should definitely not be consumed. The products can be returned to points of sale without a receipt, and the purchase price will be refunded. Authorities stated that the affected products have been removed from store shelves and that consumers should return the product without taking any risks.
