The jacket, which was specially prepared for a 1984 commercial for a beverage company starring Michael Jackson, will seek a buyer in a competitive auction.

According to a BBC report, the black-and-white leather jacket, which will be sold at auction by memorabilia dealer Propstore, is expected to fetch at least 245 thousand dollars.

Among the items to be sold at the auction are belongings belonging to George Michael, Amy Winehouse, David Bowie, Elvis Presley, Angus Young, John Lennon, and The Beatles.

Mark Hochman, Propstore's Director of Music and Posters, stated regarding the sales, "Many of these special pieces are being offered for public sale for the first time."

Memorabilia belonging to Michael Jackson has previously sold for thousands of dollars. The black fedora hat that the famous star wore just before performing his famous moonwalk dance for the first time in 1983 was sold for 77,640 Euros (£67,088; $82,280) at an auction held in Paris last month.

While filming a commercial for Pepsi Cola in Los Angeles in 1984, Michael Jackson's hair caught fire due to fireworks being set off prematurely, and director Ralph Cohen extinguished the flames by throwing the jacket he was wearing over Jackson's head.
