Military barracks raided, soldiers taken hostage!

In Bolivia, an armed group raided three military barracks and took soldiers hostage. The news was announced by Bolivian President Luis Arce. Arce also alleged that the group in question is loyal to former President Evo Morales. Evo Morales, for his part, stated that he condemns the seizure of the barracks and announced that he has begun a hunger strike. 

In a statement made via his social media account, Arce noted that the armed group, which he claimed is loyal to Morales, carried out raids on three barracks in the city of Cochabamba.

In his statement, Arce said, "I want to inform the Bolivian people and the international community that armed groups sympathetic to Evo Morales have attacked three military units in Cochabamba. I strongly condemn the taking of soldiers and their families as hostages. Attacking military barracks, anywhere in the world, is an act of treason."

‘DO NOT INTERVENE, OUR LIVES COULD BE IN DANGER’

One of the soldiers taken hostage shared a video and demanded a resolution. Addressing President Luis Arce in the video, the soldier said, "They cut off our water and electricity, they took us hostage. We demand a quick resolution. Do not intervene in the blockade points because our lives could be in danger; we have families."
