Minister announces: When will visa-on-arrival for Greek islands begin?

Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis stated that the visa-on-arrival program for Greek islands will begin in the first phase on 5 islands in the Aegean, starting from March 30.

Responding to a parliamentary question, Gerapetritis said the following:

IT WILL START BEFORE THE HOLIDAY

"The holiday in Turkey is on April 10. We will launch the visa facilitation on 5 islands with suitable infrastructure on March 30. The practice will begin on the other 5 islands once the necessary infrastructure work is completed.

According to the report on CNN Türk, the Greek Minister noted that the 5 islands where the visa facilitation will be implemented include larger islands such as Rhodes and Kos, while smaller islands like Symi and Kastellorizo will remain for the second phase.

Gerapetritis also added, "This practice will bring both our peoples and our countries closer together."
