Ministers of the interim government in Syria are being announced

Ministers of the interim government in Syria are being announced

Following the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime, the members of the interim government in Syria have begun to take shape. As names for critical roles in the country's new administration are being determined, notable appointments have been made from the leadership ranks of HTS.

DEFENSE MINISTRY: MURHAF ABU KASRA

In a statement from the Syrian interim government, it was announced that HTS leader Murhaf Abu Kasra has been appointed as Minister of Defense. Abu Kasra was known as one of the symbolic figures in the war against the Assad regime. 

AN APPOINTMENT TO THE WOMEN'S AFFAIRS OFFICE

Aisha al-Dibs has been appointed as the Head of the Women's Affairs Office of the interim government. With this appointment, al-Dibs has gone down in history as the first female official selected for a high-level position in the new administration.

On her social media account, al-Dibs describes herself as an "activist focused on the development of women and humanitarian work."
