Mojtaba Khamenei vows revenge for his father, Ali Khamenei
Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, said that revenge will "definitely" be taken following the attack that killed his father, Ali Khamenei.
Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has issued a message of "revenge" for his father and predecessor, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed on the first day of US and Israeli airstrikes against Iran on February 28.
In a written statement posted on his Telegram account on Saturday, following the funeral ceremonies held for his father, Khamenei used harsh language. In his statement, he said, "It is our nation's demand to avenge the blood of our martyred leader and all the martyrs who lost their lives in these two wars, and this will certainly happen."

In his message, Mojtaba Khamenei also stated, "We promise to take revenge for the blood of our martyred leader and all the martyrs from the guilty and disgraced murderers."
The statement by Mojtaba Khamenei, who ascended to the position of Supreme Leader following the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, came after the conclusion of the funeral ceremonies held for his father months later.
