A Singapore Airlines flight traveling from London to Singapore, carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members, encountered severe turbulence, resulting in 1 death and at least 30 injuries.
In a statement released by the airline, it was confirmed that the aircraft was carrying a total of 211 passengers and 18 crew members.
TEAM DISPATCHED
The Boeing 777-300ER, which was en route to Singapore, was diverted to Bangkok and landed at 15:45 local time.
The airline announced that it is working with Thai authorities to provide medical assistance to the passengers and has dispatched a team to Bangkok to provide any additional support required. Thai authorities have sent ambulances and emergency response teams to Suvarnabhumi Airport.
