In the city of Baghpat in India's Uttar Pradesh state, a troop of monkeys reportedly saved a six-year-old girl from an attempted rape. According to local media reports in India, a man lured a 6-year-old child into an abandoned house and attempted to assault her. The man, who was attempting to rape the young child, was chased away by monkeys living in the area. While the suspect remains at large, police are investigating the incident.

It was reported that a troop of monkeys intervened to save a six-year-old girl from an attempted rape in the Baghpat region of Uttar Pradesh.

According to a report by the Times of India, a man took the kindergarten student to an abandoned house and attempted to assault her. While the man was attempting to rape the young child, monkeys living there attacked the man, forcing him to flee.

The incident came to light after the girl's parents filed a complaint with the police. Local police stated on Sunday that the suspect is still at large.

According to the parents, the man took their daughter to an abandoned house on Saturday, where he removed her clothes and attempted to assault her. A group of monkeys then forced the man to flee, and the girl managed to escape from his grasp.

The child later told her family 'how the monkeys saved her from the perpetrator.'

Speaking to the press, the girl's father said, 'My daughter was playing outside when the suspect took her. The man can be seen walking with my daughter in a narrow alley in nearby security camera footage. However, he has not yet been identified. He also threatened to kill my child... If the monkeys had not intervened, my daughter would be dead by now. They saved my daughter's life,' he said.

Baghpat circle officer Harish Bhadoria told the TOI news agency, 'We have heard about the incident involving the monkeys and are investigating the matter. Following the parents' complaint, we are working to identify and apprehend the suspect,' he stated.
