Muhammad becomes the most popular name for baby boys in England and Wales
The UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) has announced the most popular baby names in England and Wales for 2025.
The statement noted that in 2025, 5 thousand 957 baby boys were given the name Muhammad, marking a 4 percent increase compared to the previous year.
Highlighting that the name Muhammad has thus been chosen as the most popular name in England and Wales for the 3rd consecutive time, the statement pointed out that Noah was the second most popular name for baby boys, followed by Leo in third place.
The statement also shared the information that in 2025, Olivia was the most popular name for baby girls with 2 thousand 386, marking the 10th consecutive year the name has held the top spot.
The statement indicated that Lily was the second most popular name for baby girls, while the name Amelia ranked third.
